Dean's Message

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Department of Civil Engineering under the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Sonargaon University. I believe civil engineering education should cultivate technical excellence, innovation, professionalism, and ethical responsibility. Our department is committed to developing competent engineers with the knowledge, skills, and leadership qualities required to design, construct, and sustain the infrastructure that supports national progress and improves the quality of life.

The department provides a dynamic academic environment where classroom learning is enriched through laboratory work, field exposure, research, and industry collaboration. Supported by a group of dedicated faculty members, an outcome-based curriculum, and a culture of continuous improvement, our students are prepared to address contemporary challenges in structural, geotechnical, transportation, environmental, and water resources engineering while embracing sustainable engineering practices.
