Department Hosts a Wide Range of Civil Engineering Competitions to Promote Academic and Professional Excellence

Sonargaon University celebrated its annual Civil Day on 2nd March 2024 with great enthusiasm and fervor. The event included a range of activities meant to encourage innovation, practicing sustainable and durable structural design, academic success, and community involvement in both the student body and the faculty. The day commenced with the Truss Titan Challenge and MechSkill Showdown competitions, showcasing the diverse talents of the university's student population. Participants displayed exceptional skill and passion, making the judging process both challenging and rewarding. A highlight of the Civil Day was the highly anticipated prize-giving ceremony, where winners across various competitions were felicitated for their outstanding achievements. The centerpiece of the event was a thought-provoking seminar on Padma Bridge: A Pride of Our Nation, presented by the keynote speaker, Dr. M. FEROZE AHMED, a former BUET professor. The seminar touched the audience with an interesting speech in which he emphasized the use of civil engineering knowledge in the construction of the Padma Bridge.
