Pitha Utshob is a traditional festival that celebrates the rich culinary heritage and culture of Bangladesh. It is especially popular during the winter season when a variety of delicious pithas are prepared using freshly harvested rice, date palm jaggery, coconut, and milk. The festival brings together students, families, and communities to enjoy traditional foods, cultural performances, and social gatherings.
On February 2nd, 2024, Sonargaon University came alive with the delightful aromas and flavors of traditional pithas during the much-anticipated Pitha Utshab. Among the many vibrant stalls, the Civil Engineering Department's stall stood out with its impressive array of traditional pithas, including Bhapa Pitha and Patishapta. The lively atmosphere, enhanced by cultural performances and music, made the Pitha Utshab a memorable and cherished celebration for the entire university community.
